Kingston Citidel (/ˈkɪŋstən/ [Translation Unavailable]) is a temperate Large City located in Mallowvale Dutchy, Ipoulan Kingdom, within the Sylvan.

The name Kingston Citidel is derived from the Sylvin language, as Kingston Citidel was founded by Hesgrolim Wigg, who was culturaly Sylvin.

Climate

Kingston Citidel has a yearly average temperature of 16°C (60°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a cool 19°C (66°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 13°C (55°F). Kingston Citidel receives an average of 250 cm/y (98 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Kingston Citidel covers an area of nearly 182 km2 (72 mi2), and an average elevation of 792 m (2598 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kingston Citidel was founded durring the late 14th century in summer of the year 1281, by Hesgrolim Wigg. The establishment of Kingston Citidel was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Hesgrolim Wigg electing to pay people to resettle in Kingston Citidel.

Kingston Citidel was built using the conventions of Sylvin durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kingston Citidel is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Kingston Citidel is buildings folow an organic layout of broad paverstone streets whihch gives the city a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The city is defended by arcane means. It's hard to spot at first, but there's a tell tell shimmer in the air arround Kingston Citidel, and you can spot the ocasional warding glyph carved into a rock or tree all arround town. These mystical defences are ancient, unknowable, and unassailable by current means... Assuming everything is in working order. Otherwise, the wards are little more than a deathtrap. The city's Relic of the World That Was have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the city.

Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. Kingston Citidel's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its buildings being predominantly formed through the combination of basic geometric shapes. However, it shown in the detailing given to the structures such as its characteristic tall columns, intricate detail, symmetry, harmony, and balance in their designs to an astonishing degree of precision. Decorative elements for the buildings tended to be built into the structure itself, making great use of fluting, frescoes, inlays, and embossing.
